Building a quick website

These notes are partly to myself and partly to help others.

1) Get a simple page designer like FrontPage. Mine is from 1997 and works just fine.

2) Get Paintshop Pro.

3) Take pictures with digital camera. Run all files through PSP and resample to 320 or 640 resolution and save as .jpg  Delete the old big files.

4) Open Frontpage. Create index.htm as the home page. Create other pages.

5) Make hyperlinks from index.htm to other pages using Insert/Hyperlink. Right click on the created hyperlink and rename the file as just the file name and extension, without all the //c: stuff in front.

6) Create/log into yahoo geocities (my user name is drvernacula).

7) Go to the Create and Update tab, and then down to Easy Upload. Upload all the files.
